These rifles are so called because of the way the logo is stamped on the receiver. The receiver was made by Springfield and then the rifle was completed by Harvester. This rifle has all correctly marked International Harvester parts. I have verified all the numbers and they are all correct. The finish is very good to excellent. The stock is also properly numbered in the barrel channel 0055 denoting that it was put on the rifle in 1955. The cartouche is faint but visible and the proof mark on the stock is correct. I purchased the rifle from an individual in Montana. I paid $3250 for it. That is less by a few hundred dollars than others I have priced and they are not easy to locate.
