These rifles were re- built by the Marine Corps in the 1960’s and marked with an electric pencil. The marking on this rifle is 0 66 indicating that the re build was done in 1966. Marine Re- build marked 0 66 on the flat behind the rear sight, The barrel is dated 45 the stock has a mark R A which stands for Raritan Arsenal it appears that the rifle was rebuilt there after the second world war reissued and the rebuilt in 1966 by the Marine Corps.
