I paid $800 for this rifle. I have a letter in the safe, that is notarized, written by the wife of Ernie Lind. The letter states that this rifle was owned by Ernie Lind who was a Winchester factory exhibition shooter. The dealer said that the rifle had been sent back to Winchester to be reworked including a re-blue. The rifle is double proofed so this may be true. A factory letter needs to be gotten on this rifle.
